Records of My Parents in the Lodz Ghetto
These German records show the name, date of birth, occupation, Ghetto address, pre-Ghetto address and, sometimes, the departure from the ghetto - dead or alive. The occupation listed is sometimes a token one.
My Mother's Family
Note that Frymet (Frymcia) and Ruchla (my aunt Ruth) are listed twice, for Kamienna Street and Stein Street, both the same, both meaning "stone" in English.
My Father
There is no other Mydlarz listed under this address, however I received a further database record which indicates that a lady and two children shared the same apartment with my father, as shown below.
The information above was kindly provided to me in February 2010 by Avichai Z. who was researching his ancestry. I am quite certain that the lady, Szajndla Kersz, and the two children, Chaja and Jankel, were my father's first family. I have been unable to find any other record of their life.
